I'd like to run for abuse officer on compsoc. The main reason being I'm somewhat fed up of the utter foolishness that has been going on in #cs and #compsoc, as well as the abuse of several people in #netgames. Its time something was actually done about it.
I'd aim to be fair with reasonable warnings / punishments depending upon the level of abuse and liaise with external parties if ever this was required.
Primarily I'd act as a recipient of abuse@ emails, although I would like to deal with people on IRC that cause problems. I've been an IRCop on another network for a fair amount of time and seemed to do a reasonable job of it when things ever got out of hand.
